Mason, Michigan (October 7, 2024) – Sixteen-year-old racing sensation Eric Wisniewski from Mason, Michigan, delivered an incredible performance at the prestigious SCCA Runoff National Championship held at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, on Sunday, October 6th. Competing against the 19 best drivers in the country, Eric put on a show in the feature race, driving for Hillenburg Motorsports of Alvin, Texas, under the leadership of team owners Roy Hillenburg and Darryl Wills.
The race on Sunday saw intense competition as the nation’s top Formula car drivers vied for the championship. Eric, showcasing his skill and determination, held his own throughout the race, executing a daring move on the last lap into Turn 1 that came up just short of securing the top spot. Despite narrowly missing the win, Eric’s performance earned him a well-deserved 2nd place finish, a testament to his talent and promise as a rising star in the racing world.
