Braselton, GA – Eric Wisniewski, driver of the #25 Formula Enterprises 2 car for Hillenburg Motorsports, delivered an impressive performance during the Hoosier SCCA Super Tour event at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on March 7-8, 2025. Competing in his first-ever race weekend at the iconic 2.54-mile, 12-turn circuit, Wisniewski showcased his skill and adaptability, qualifying 4th for both the Saturday and Sunday races and securing 3rd-place finishes in each.
The event, hosted by SCCA’s Atlanta Region as part of the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing program, marked the third stop of the 2025 Hoosier SCCA Super Tour season. Wisniewski, hailing from Mason Michigan, navigated the challenging Road Atlanta layout with precision under the guidance of his coach, Darryl Wills—a former motocross champion, SCCA National Champion, and Indy Lights driver.
Starting from 4th on the grid in Saturday’s race, Wisniewski quickly found his rhythm, battling through the field to claim a hard-fought 3rd place. He replicated the result on Sunday, again starting 4th and finishing on the podium in 3rd, proving his consistency and potential in the Formula Enterprises 2 class. The double podium finish was a remarkable achievement for the young driver, especially considering it was his debut at the renowned track.
“Racing at Road Atlanta for the first time was an incredible experience,” said Wisniewski. “Learning the track was a fun challenge—it’s fast, technical, and demands your full attention. I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support from my team at Hillenburg Motorsports, and I’m so grateful for Darryl Wills’ coaching. I also want to thank SCCA, Mazda Motorsports, and Hoosier Tires for making this series possible and giving us a platform to compete at such a high level.”
Hillenburg Motorsports, based in Alvin, Texas, provided Wisniewski with a finely tuned #25 Formula Enterprises 2 car, powered by Mazda, which performed flawlessly throughout the weekend. The team’s preparation, combined with Wills’ expert mentorship, allowed Wisniewski to maximize his performance and gain valuable experience on a track known for its rich motorsport history.
The Hoosier SCCA Super Tour continues to highlight emerging talent like Wisniewski, with its competitive fields and prestigious venues. His strong showing at Road Atlanta sets a promising tone for the remainder of the 2025 season, as he aims to build on this success in pursuit of the 2025 Super Tour Championship.
