In what was supposed to be a double feature weekend for the US Legends Winter Heat series, Eric drove the number 25 to his first top ten finish in a Legend Car. In just his second time ever behind the wheel of a Legend, Eric completed the road course in Charlotte, coming across the line in 9th place, narrowly missing out on 8th and running as high as 6th during the race. Reuniting with AK Performance and teammates from 2021, Eric enjoyed the opportunity to drive with some of the best Legends drivers in the world. AK Performance once again did a great job in preparing the car and keeping everything running smooth for the weekend. Due to a winter storm which brought several inches of snow to North Carolina, the Sunday second feature was canceled.
